Senior DWH Engineer

Our client is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry with over 130 years of experience and a presence in more than 140 countries. Their mission is to develop innovative medicines and solutions that improve the lives of patients around the world. In Prague, they operate one of their key technology centers, where an international team of experts works on digital innovation and modern IT solutions supporting the company's global operations.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain data models, data marts, and table structures for OLTP and OLAP reporting
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data loading and transformation
• Develop and manage DBT-based DWH models – scalable, maintainable, and high quality
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and post-load quality checks using SQL
• Develop FastAPI data layers for application integration
• Modify and optimize PL/pgSQL stored procedures
• Prepare and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation
• Independently manage multiple workstreams with a focus on quality and timely delivery
• Collaborate with on-site and off-site teams and coordinate dependencies
• Work in an Agile delivery model using Jira

What we require

• Experience with data modeling and DWH solution design (OLTP, OLAP)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Hands-on experience with DBT and Airflow
• Familiarity with AWS environment – Athena, Redshift, CLI
• Experience with FastAPI and data API layer development
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL
• Ability to independently lead workstreams and communicate with international teams
• Experience with Agile methodology and Jira
