IT Engineer for Data Transfers
● Data transfers engineering in terms of:
- designing, creating, optimizing data transfers between various systems and countries as well as managing documentation (main components of data transfers: CFT(cross file transfer protocol) server, SCP/SSH/FTP transfers, automatic scheduling and scripts)
- providing support for non-production environments, co-operation on production issues
- co-operation on Incidents resolution escalation and reporting, Request fulfilment and Release Management - handover projects deliverables into the production mode
● Project & quality management:
- participation on relevant projects as data transfer engineer
- contribution to the delivery and implementation of projects outputs
- active participation on monitoring setup
● Communication & Collaboration:
- daily cooperation with various parties (external companies, transfer team in France, other countries within region)
- communication and collaboration with regional and global peers, with local IT departments and other partner teams
- building strong relationships with internal customers
REQUIEREMENTS:
● Various scripting engines knowledge is mandatory (PowerShell, Bash). Other scripting engines are an advantage
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in years of working experience in IT environments
● English at least B2 level/ knowledge of Czech or Slovak language is an advantage
● Basic knowledge and usage of Linux, Unix, Windows operating systems
● Knowledge of data transfer protocols, tools – SCP/SSH, Connect direct, FTP
● Knowledge of message queueing engines, knowledge of IBM MQ is an advantage
● Practical knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, Service now…)
● Knowledge of Axway CFT is an advantage
● Analytic thinking
● Self-reliance and sense for responsibility
● Team working ability
● Time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities
● Clear and precise oral and written communication skills
