IT Developer Team Leader

The IT Developer Team Leader is responsible for the helping the business implement and develop technology solutions in a cost-effective way by working closely with the business analysts and management. Responsible for the company's systems development, their methodology and supporting projects within the business needs. Will lead an international team of developers located around the world in different time zones. Liaison between the developers, business analysts and management.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years experience
  • Excellent documentation skills and toolkit of templates from previous work experience
  • 3+ years of Agile development, preferably Scrum
  • 3+ years team leadership experience
  • Strong software design skill with a deep understanding of OO programming fundamentals and design pattern

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design, re-design, and development of technology products
  • Planning developer tasks on an on-going basis
  • Leading and reviewing developers work
  • Working with other managers to coordinate timelines and ensures tasks are completed to those timelines
  • Managing systems installation and software testing
  • Developing automated unit tests and responsibility for testing own code before Systems Test and QA Test Phases begin
  • Bug fixing
  • Preparing functional specs
  • Mentoring of graduates and junior developers
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Documentation for all processes and stages of development
