Maps & Data Product Lead | New generation digital maps

You’ll work on everything from global satellite mosaics to high-resolution local aerial imagery, terrain modeling, landcover classification, and building footprints sourced from providers like Microsoft, GSI, OpenStreetMap, and public institutions.

How we work

• We work in 2-week sprints.

• We plan development in Jira, as well as individual tasks.

• Our applications run in Docker containers, we version Ansible playbooks in Git and keep documentation in Confluence.

• Google Workspace is used for electronic communication (Chat, Meet, Email).

• The company's structure is based on the unFIX model, which helps innovation and agile development.

What you will do

Product management of Maps

• Forming product vision, scope, and direction together with the team 

• Customer data analysis and needs assessment

• Preparing the work for the team, planning the maps and datasets roadmap

• Competition and market monitoring

• Oversee the input data sources

• Preparing materials for marketing

• Monitoring and reporting

Team leader of the Data team

• Long-term planning and grooming meetings

• Meetings facilitation and retrospectives

• Represent the team at management and company meetings

• Communication and work synchronisation with other team managers

What we expect from you

• Team leadership focus and product management experience

• Cartography and map design focus, experience or education

• Understanding and experience of geospatial data models and data formats (raster, vector, geospatial database, GeoTiff, Shapefile, etc.) 

• Map publishing and web map development basics

Nice to have

• Web mapping standards (OGC OWS, JSON and Tiles)

• Familiarity with MapTiler stack (MapTiler Engine, Cloud, MapTiler SDK/MapLibre)
